POCHE PROFONDE COSE
Memory and identity
Digging and revealing the deep nature of every place, questioning its social, cultural, and political background, trying to find out its contradictions, paradoxes, hidden potential, and unexpressed aspirations, read it, like the lines of a hand.
The place, to whom can read it, says what it is and what it wants to become - as the great human, architect, and teacher, Adolfo Natalini, used to say.
Simplicity and legibility
I believe that architecture is truly successful only when it’s able to solve complex problems without looking complicated, but rather simple and legible.
Transformation and belonging
The goal behind every project is to provide a thoughtful response to the context, making it strongly site-specific and able to create a sense of place, be familiar and recognizable, and yet be provocative, stimulating the curiosity and engagement of the people who will inhabit and experience that space.
Observation and repetition
Say new things with words already said. Dialogue with history and the past is the foundation of every new piece of architecture.
Forgetting architecture
When architecture is forgotten and just blends with everyday life, acting as a quiet but eloquent background (quiet vs dumb, eloquent vs noisy). Let architecture suggest, rather than state - and inform the user without overwhelming him.

I believe the challenge of contemporary architecture is to create something durable, conceived primarily to build civic values and strengthen a sense of collectivity - in the Roman’s way - at the same time highly flexible - capable of transforming as technology evolves - and resilient - able of adapting and responding to climate criticality, positively contributing to its containment.
